Jeremy DeBenedictis is President of Alterra Energy, where he provides strategic direction and tactical leadership for the company’s operational, engineering, and global licensing activities of its continuous advanced recycling technology. The technology transforms end-of-life, landfill-bound plastics into petrochemical products that can be further refined into new plastic production, waxes and fuels. This includes his role in negotiating a deal with Neste, a global provider of renewable fuel and sustainable feedstock for plastics and other materials, which acquired a minority stake in the company in early 2021.
For nearly 10 years prior, Jeremy served as VP of Operations and Engineering at Vadxx Energy, the predecessor to Alterra.
Previously, during a 12-year career with General Electric, which included leadership roles within the organization’s Lighting and Healthcare businesses, Jeremy drove consistent double-digit growth via bottom-line productivity and new customer acquisition, increasing market share.
Jeremy has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton and an MBA in Banking & Finance from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He also is a graduate of the GE Operational Management Leadership Program and completed several certificate programs at GE, including General Electric Corporate Leadership Training, John F.
