Joaquin is Market Manager for Performance Materials at Zeppelin Systems USA. He is a mechanical engineer with over 18 years of international experience in the plastics industry. He graduated from Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften in Hamburg in 2006 and began his career with Coperion GmbH as a Project Manager for large extruders in the polyolefin sector. After 6 years, he transitioned to a Sales Manager role for compounding plants, where he gained experience in designing plants for various compounding processes, covering the Asian and European markets. In 2018, Joaquin was offered an opportunity to relocate to Houston, TX as Senior Sales Manager for a two-year expat assignment to expand business opportunities and train the local team. After returning to Stuttgart, he assumed the position of Global Business Segment Manager for Masterbatch at Coperion. In mid-2021, he moved back to the USA in a global role to push and influence the market there. Joaquin joined Zeppelin Systems USA in January 2024. With his extensive experience in plastics plant technology, Joaquin is now focused on expanding the business in this region for the Performance Materials Group, which includes compounding plants, plastic processing systems, special chemical plants, technical plastics production, PTA and PET systems, recycling, and battery production facilities.
