Josephine Hsu counsels domestic and foreign clients on regulatory and compliance matters as a member of the firm’s food and drug practice group, with an emphasis on food additives, food contact materials, and cannabidiol (CBD) and related cannabinoids. She assists clients in obtaining regulatory clearances for packaging materials in jurisdictions around the world.
 
Prior to joining Keller and Heckman, Josephine was a Law Clerk to the Senior Judges at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She has also served as a Legal Assistant at the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) in Taiwan and as an International Intern at the Agricultural Trade Office of the American Institute in Taiwan, where she co-authored reports on U.S.–Taiwan trade regulations and market characteristics for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Global Agricultural Information Network (GAIN).

While in law school, Josephine was a member of the George Washington International Law Review. She also served as a Legal Intern at the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), where she analyzed competition issues and prepared memoranda on harmonization of domestic regulations and compliance programs in Eurasia with international best practices.
